Google formally announces Philippines office

After many years of rumors and speculation , Google officially announced last Wednesday the opening of Google Philippine representative office, and naming the former Friendster executive Narciso Reyes as its first country manager.

The executive said Filipinos can expect Google to play a more significant role in every lives of Filipinos as well as in the development of local communities.

“We’re excited to be deepening our investment in the Philippines with the opening of our office here in Manila,” Reyes said. “Our local team will be committed to providing services to our Filipino users and to helping businesses, large and small grow locally and globally, contributing to the growth of the Philippine economy.”

And also Google said it is currently hiring employees for its Manila Office to be uploaded on its website in the coming days.

Lance Armstrong Interview on OWN attracted 28 Viewers Worldwide

OprahWinfrey's Interview of Lance Armstrong played in 190 countries. Estimated 28 Million viewers around the world watched the interview on television and online platforms.

The telecasts of the interview on “The Oprah Winfrey Network” in the United States on Thursday and Friday nights attracted about 12 Million viewers according to cable channel last Tuesday. Additional 15 million viewers worldwide watched Armstrong's confessional interview conducted last week at Austin Texas, OWN said.

The interview played in 190 countries including France , Belgium , Australia and South Africa and in 30 languages. Additional statement of OWN, estimated 800,000 additional viewers watched the interview online streams.

In final hour of the interview 2.4 Million viewers watched it 1.8 Million watched the interview at 9 p.m. And additional 620,000 viewers watched later in the evening.

In first part of the interview last Thursday night an average of 4.3 Million viewers from its two airings, according to Nielsen data.

Whether it's a strong belt, a broach, necklace or earrings, Obama is always adding just enough touch of extra to give her ensemble that extra zing.

That is a little extra, not a lot. Accessories make the outfit, but too many will break it. Stick to one statement piece.

Embracewhat works: Have you ever seen the first lady wear an outfit that looked horrible? Well, we won't give her too much credit. Everyone makes fashion mistakes. But rarely do we see her in clothing that is completely unflattering. Obama goes with what works on her, Betts said.

Nothing is wrong with being bold and adventurous, but if you've found a silhouette that looks outstanding on your outstanding body, stick with it.

Just because stripes are in right now or everyone is wearing knee-high boots, it doesn't mean you have to. Make the items that flatter you staples in your closet and stay current with a few trendy pieces now and then.

Wearred: Remember that bright-red dress Obama wore in November 2008 to meet with the Bush family? "It gave off an 'I'm-in-charge-now' and guaranteed that all eyes were on her," Betts said.

Think of red as the equivalent of a man wearing his power suit, Cosmo suggests. You're getting everyone's attention, and oh, by the way, studies have found red to be the color that most attracts men. Do with that what you will.

Basic Crepes

Here is a simple crepe batter which you can make in just a few minutes.

Crepes with Cream and Fruits

Ingredients:

1 cup of all-purpose flour

2 egss

½ cup milk

½ cup water

¼ teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons butter (melted)

Directions:

-Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl then set a side.

-Heat the non-sticky pan in a medium high heat. Pour the batter onto the pan using approximately ¼ cup for each crepe and swirl to spread evenly.

-Cook the crepe for 2 minutes until the bottom is light brown. Use spatula to flip and cook the other side.

-Serve. You can add fruits , cream, jam or chocolate for additional flavor.
