Kimbap Recipe

Preparation:

  1. When rice is almost cooled, mix with sesame oil and salt.
  2. Stir fry carrots briefly with a dash of salt.
  3. Stir fry cucumber with a dash of salt.
  4. Whisk eggs until evenly yellow and fry into flat omelet.
  5. Cut cooked egg into long strips.
  6. Cook bulgogi according to recipe directions.
  7. Using a bamboo sushi roller or a piece of tin foil, lay the dried seaweed shiny side down.
  8. Spread about ½ cup of rice onto 2/3 of the seaweed, leaving the top 1/3 bare (if you moisten your fingers or a spoon to pat down the rice, you'll get less of a sticky mess).
  9. Lay the first ingredient down around 1/3 of the way up from the bottom of the seaweed.
  10. Lay the other fillings down on top.
  11. Roll from the bottom (as if you're rolling a sleeping bag), pressing down to make the fillings stay in.
  12. As you continue to roll, pull the whole thing down towards the end of the bamboo mat.
  13. Spread a tiny dab of water along the top seam to hold the roll together.
  14. Set aside and continue with other seaweed sheets.
  15. Cut each roll into 7-8 pieces.

Crews to Raze Florida Home Over Sinkhole: Man Missing

Crews planned to begin demolishing a Florida home Sunday that is perched over a huge sinkhole, after deeming it too dangerous to keep searching for the man swallowed up from his bedroom.
The search for Jeff Bush, 37, was called off Saturday and demolition equipment was seen moving into position Sunday. The 20-foot-wide opening of the sinkhole is almost completely covered by the house and rescuers feared it would collapse on them. Two neighboring homes were evacuated as a precaution.
Heavy equipment, including a vehicle with a big bucket scoop on a long arm, was on the street near the house Sunday morning. Authorities said they expected to start the demolition around 8 a.m. Family members gathered on lawn chairs, bundled up with blankets against unusually chilly weather. Several dozen people milled about within view, including officials and reporters.
Hillsborough County Administrator Mike Merrill disclosed the plan hours earlier to raze the home. "At this point it's really not possible to recover the body," Merrill said, later adding "we're dealing with a very unusual sinkhole."
Jessica Damico, spokeswoman for Hillsborough County Fire Rescue, said the demolition equipment would be positioned on what was believed to be solid ground and reach onto the property to pull apart the house. The crew was expected to try pulling part of the house away from the sinkhole intact so some of the residents' keepsakes can be retrieved.
Bush was in his bedroom Thursday night in Seffner — a suburb of 8,000 people 15 miles east of downtown Tampa — when the ground opened and took him and everything else in his room. Five others in the house escape unharmed as the earth crumbled.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is conducting the investigation. Det. Larry McKinnon said that sheriff's office and the county medical examiner cannot declare Bush dead if his body is still missing. UnderFlorida law, Bush's family must petition a court to declare him deceased.

Marketing method to the March Madness

Marketers see the world differently, this isn't a sports competition, It's a marketing case study How did the NCAA get marketers and so many other apathetic viewers to be an avid consumer of it's product? There's a method to the madness and there are a few lessons a marketers can learn from all of it.
The NCAA Tournament engages people like nothing else. You don’t just sit passively and watch the games, though that option is certainly available. You dust off your inner Nostradamus and fill out a bracket with your predictions, watch to see what you got right, and encourage your friends and coworkers to join you in a little friendly competition. And the level of involvement is a choice. You can spend hours researching, or make your picks based on which mascot you think is the cutest. Either method, as March Madness has proved again and again, can be effective.

Although you can fill out a March Madness bracket alone, it’s way more fun when you involve others, especially if there is a pool or prize to be won. It encourages people to bring others in without requiring it. They talk about it, compare results, admire the sports nut’s strategy and laugh at the person who was actually crazy enough to pick Wichita State to go to the Final Four. It’s a light, friendly competition that brings people together around a common interest. That brings me to my next point.

Even if you don’t like basketball, it still includes something that people care about: their schools. Whether you are rooting for your alma mater or your home state, you always want your team to beat that other team. New programs and ideas need more than one thing to ignite passion in people, which in turn can make them passionate about something they didn’t care about before. March Madness merges sports culture with alumni culture and state pride, which would be harder to accomplish if it weren’t for my next point.

Unlike fantasy football that, popular as it is, takes a fair amount of commitment and research to participate in, filling out and following an NCAA Tournament bracket is simple and easy. It lowers the barrier of entry for those on the fence about participating, encouraging more people to say, “Why not? I’ll fill out a bracket.” The next thing you know, they are watching the close games, talking about matchups with friends, and quickly and quietly getting hooked. And that makes them want to do it again next year, leading to my last point.

Christmas. November.  March Madness. I see so many good ideas that are one-offs. What marketers need to give their consumers is tradition—something their company does every year that they can look forward to. The fun of filling out a bracket and involving your office and friends was an idea that took some time to build in popularity. But now, it would be hard to imagine the NCAA Tournament without it.
The NCAA Tournament isn’t just for watching. It’s for participating. So how does your brand match up?

Louisville beats Michigan in NCAA men's basketball

The Louisville Cardinals defeated the Michigan Wolverines, 82-76, to win the NCAA Division I men's basketball championship Monday night in Atlanta.
The showdown was one for the ages, with a dazzling array of airborne theatrics, jaw-dropping dunks and 3-pointers from well behind the line.

The Cardinals surged from a double-digit deficit in the first half to lead during much of the second half and finally clinch the victory.
Louisville Head Coach Rick Pitino said his team was able to top the Wolverines' "absolutely incredible" performance "probably because I have the 13 toughest guys I've ever coached."
TheCardinals played without Kevin Ware, the sophomore guard who suffered one of the most grotesque injuries in college sports while playing Duke on March 31.

During a routine block attempt, Ware landed awkwardly and snapped his right shin, drawing gasps of horror as the bone protruded through his skin.

Ware joined his teammates during the championship trophy presentation on crutches.
"These are my brothers, you know. They got the job done, and I'm so proud of them."

Ware's teammate Luke Hancock was named the tournament's Most OutstandingPlayer, helping pull Louisville out of a 12-point hole to lead the Cardinals with 22 points.

"We just went into war right there against a great Michigan team," the junior forward said.
Naismith Trophy winner Trey Burke led a ferocious Michigan squad with 24 points, but it wasn't enough to top No. 1 seed Louisville.

Now, Pitino must live up to a promise he made to his players this season.
"They said, 'If you win the national championship, coach, you're getting a tattoo.' I said, 'Hell yes, I'm getting a tattoo.'"

Home Remedies To Get Rid of Cellulite

Cellulite is one of those words that becomes instantly contagious. Once one woman in the room complains about her thighs, it's just a matter of time before another chimes in about her rear end. Whether or not any of these ladies' complaints have merit (and, according to this study, they usually do), dimpling of the skin is a huge source of insecurity for women of all sizes.
The participant was told to take seaweed baths twice a week for 20 minutes. Although her skin seemed a bit tighter directly after soaking and decreased the appearance of her cellulite, results were short lived. As soon as her body cooled down and her skin softened, her cellulite reappeared like normal.
Result: Temporarily reduces cellulite.

The participant was told to mix coffee grounds with hot water in the shower and scrub for 10 minutes twice a week. Coffee increases circulation (and therefore, helps reduce the appearance of cellulite), and the participant reported that it was fairly easy to apply the scrub. She even noted that it had a refreshing smell. After 4 weeks of the coffee scrub, she noticed that her skin was firmer and smoother.
Result: Pure coffee scrubs are an effective cellulite treatment.
The participant was told to create a scrub using cocoa butter, raw cane sugar and coffee grounds. She recommends performing the scrub in the bathtub or another area that can easily be cleaned up afterwards, since it is a messy treatment. After scrubbing her skin for 10 minutes, there was an immediate reduction in the look of the skin, and it was much less dimpled. The effect lasted a day or so.
Result: This moisturizing scrub is a temporary but messy cellulite treatment.
The participant was told to rub honey on the affected area. According to the participant, the first two attempts felt like a trip to the waxer -- she put too thin of a layer on and each attempt to rub the honey into my dimpled flesh resulted in hair-pulling agony. Even with an ample squeeze from the teddy bear container, it was a bother and added an arbitrary extra step to her morning routine, with little to show for other than a sticky toilet seat and really nice smelling thighs.
Result: Did not reduce cellulite and is potentially painful.
The participant was instructed to create a scrub using epsom salt and eucalyptus oil. After the first few uses, she noticed an exfoliating and moisturizing effect on her skin. Despite the softening of the affected area, the cellulite remained intact.
Result: Did not reduce cellulite but effectively exfoliated and moisturized.
The participant was instructed to combine apple cider vinegar and juniper oil and apply the combination to the affected area for 20 minutes several times a week. She found the best way to get the concoction on was by using paper towels. According to the participant, the smell was overwhelmingly awful and she had to stand to avoid transferring it to any fabrics. She did feel some tingling on the skin where it was applied and noticed a resulting smoothness, but no change to the cellulite.
Result: Did not reduce cellulite and had a potent stench.
The participant was instructed to massage the affected area in a hot bath twice a week. After the 30-day trial, the treatment helped the cellulite area feel smoother and less bumpy. She noticed that the upper thigh was slightly less uneven to the touch and felt as smooth as the rest of her leg.
Result: Minimally reduces the appearance cellulite.
The participant was instructed to combine lemon juice and cayenne pepper in water and drink the mixture 3 times daily. After the 30-day trial, she reported a significant firming of the affected area. Although she's not sure if her results are due to the placebo effect, she felt that the cayenne pepper cocktail made her feel better overall.
Result: Effectively reduce cellulite.
The participant was instructed to soak the affected area in baby oil and use a hand vacuum to smooth the area. Although at times she reported seeing a slight difference directly after the procedure, she sometimes felt that it actually made the cellulite worse.
Result: Did not reduce cellulite and may even make it worse.
The participant was instructed to make a scrub using corn oil, grapefruit juice, and dried thyme. After massaging this into the affected areas for 30 days, she felt that it was a very messy procedure with little to no results other than softer skin.
Result: Did not effectively reduce cellulite but resulted in softer skin.
The participant was instructed to combine about juniper oil with olive oil and massage into the affected area daily. The first week, she didn't notice a very big change. Her skin looked about the same, but was definitely much smoother! By the fourth week, she really began to see the most visible change. The smaller cellulite dimples had faded, and she could also see it beginning to have an affect on the overalllook of her thighs. Result: Effectively reduced cellulite and resulted in softer, firmer skin.
The participant was instructed to rub coconut oil on the affected area and then use a dry brush to massage and smooth the cellulite. She reported that the treatment left the skin feeling sensitive and chaffed. Despite the sensitivity, she noticed a significant reduction in cellulite after the 30-day trial.
Result: This is the most effective way to get rid of cellulite.
