Teenager found guilty of second-degree murder!


A teenager has been sentenced to life in prison due to second-degree murder for stabbing his girlfriend more than one hundred times.Melvin Keete Jr. Sixteen years of age at the time of incident,killed Brittany Green, a seventeen years of age from Glaze Bay got 104 wounds from several knives, one of which was broken off in her body. By that time, Youth Criminal Justice Act. Protected the identities of both parties. At the courtroom last Monday Skeete Jr. said ” F**K these people, man, F**k the judge , Fuck the police , F**k the system”.

The victims family and her friends described the victim as a kind , thoughtful and had a dreams of becoming a model. Brittany Green is came from a large family. After suffering some trauma in her early life , Green was adopted by her grandmother since she was young. Her grandmother told to the court that Green had struggled with her own problems, including using drugs, but she worked hard to overcome them.

Skeete Jr. told to the court that they are dating for four months at the time of her murder and also told that he really loved Green.

Skeete Jr. is now eighteen years old and found guilty of second-degree murder last August. He was sentenced in Nova Scotia Youth Court to life in prison with no chance of parole until December 3 , 2017.

Skeete Jr. testified that he took pills and drank moonshine at the time of the murder and he doesn't remember anything else until the police woke him up in the cell early the next morning.

The Psychologist (from IWK Heath Centre) findings, Skeete Jr's long history of violent behavior, his anti-social behavior, violent outbursts and substance abuse finds that Skeete Jr has a high risk to violently re-offend.
