Estimated 28 Million viewers around the world watched the interview
on television and online platforms.
The
telecasts of the interview on “The Oprah Winfrey Network” in the
United States on Thursday and Friday nights attracted about 12
Million viewers according to cable channel last Tuesday. Additional
15 million viewers worldwide watched Armstrong's confessional
interview conducted last week at Austin Texas, OWN said.
The
interview played in 190 countries including France , Belgium ,
Australia and South Africa and in 30 languages. Additional statement
of OWN, estimated 800,000 additional viewers watched the interview
online streams.
In
final hour of the interview 2.4 Million viewers watched it 1.8
Million watched the interview at 9 p.m. And additional 620,000
viewers watched later in the evening.
In
first part of the interview last Thursday night an average of 4.3
Million viewers from its two airings, according to Nielsen data.
