Youth
and Sports Minister Roy Suryo praised the performance of Evan Dimas Darmono who
scored three goals in Indonesia’s 3-2 win over South Korea in the Asia Cup U-19
group qualifier at Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta, on Saturday.
“Evan
Dimas played extraordinarily [...] As a captain of the team, he really
performed as a leader in the field,” the minister said in Surabaya, East Java,
on Saturday evening, as quoted by Antara news agency.
With
the victory, Indonesia’s U-19 team won the Group G qualifier and go on to the
final of Asia Cup U-19 match in Myanmar in 2014.
The
team recently won the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) U-19 Championship finals
in Sidoarjo, East Java, on Sept.22.
