Looking
unruffled throughout an unhurried walk in Sunday's final round of the
95th PGA Championship, Jason Dufner, who earlier this year sparked a
movement that became known as Dufnering, now is in possession of the
Wanamaker Trophy.
Unperturbed
by charges made by others and untroubled by the exigent East Course
at Oak Hill Country Club, Dufner won the final major of the season
with a lethal combination of pars and tap-in birdies.
Trailing
by one at the start of the day, Dufner took the lead for good on No.
8 and shot 2-under-par 68 to finish at 10 under par to win by two
over Jim Furyk.
After
holing his final putt, Dufner celebrated the third win of his career
with a muted double-fist pump to the sky, politely took his hat off
to shake Furyk's hand, and then gently patted his wife, Amanda, on
the rear end before hugging her. A few minutes later he hoisted the
heavy silver Wanamaker Trophy to the sky and gave it a few kisses.
