Miley Cyrus goes nude for 'Wrecking Ball' video

Miley Cyrus is set to shock fans yet again after stripping fully nude for her sexy new Wrecking Ball promo.

The pop superstar split critics with her raunchy headline-grabbing performance at the MTV Video Music Awards late last month , and now she's testing fans' limits again with her latest video after teaming up with controversial photographer/filmmaker Terry Richardson.

In a clip, which debuted online on Monday, Cyrus struts around braless in a white vest top and panties, with her nipples clearly visible, while other scenes feature the 20 year old completely naked as she swings around straddling a wrecking ball.

NFL Analysis starts last sunday

Starting last Sunday from 7 in the morning to 1 in the afternoon there will be 19 hours of pregame NFL programming. Four of the new hours arrive courtesy of the CBS Sports Network , which is producing “That Other Pregame Show” next to the studio in Manhattan that is used by “ The Nfl Today,” the CBS broadcast network's venerable pregame show.

This flagrant addition of four hours, in one stroke, is excess piling on extravagance.
CBS and Fox carry hourlong pregame shows. ESPN has the three-hour Sunday “NFL Countdown,” which starts at 10 a.m.

The NFL Network begins its six-hour siege at 7 a.m. with “NFL GamedayFirst” and “NFL Gameday Morning” at 9 a.m.

ESPN2 has “Fantasy Football Now,” from 11 to 1 p.m., an hour longer than last year.
Too much? Yes. But studio programming is inexpensive to produce.

And CBS, ESPN, Fox and the NFL Network want to make the most of their contracts to televise games. So does NBC, which has its pregame show at 7 p.m. before “Sunday Night Football,” but nothing N.F.L.-related Sunday mornings on NBCSN. see more...

Serena Williams Wins

Serena Williams is the US Open champion again because she finally prevailed over Victoria Azarenka in the longest women's final since 1980, writes Melissa Isaacson.

In the end, Williams pulled herself together, as she usually does when it matters the most. Facing her only test of the past two weeks, the No. 1-seeded Williams overcame No. 2 Azarenka 7-5, 6-7 (6), 6-1 on Sunday for a fifth championship at Flushing Meadows and second in a row.

Williams, who turns 32 on Sept. 26, raised her Grand Slam singles title count to 17, the sixth-most in history and one shy of Martina Navratilova and Chris Evert. Williams collected a $3.6 million prize, including a $1 million bonus for producing the best results during the NorthAmerican summer hard-court circuit leading up to the US Open.

She also became the first woman to top $50 million in career earnings. Her $50.9 million total is $22.1 million more than sister Venus, who is second on the list at $28.8 million.
"She's a champion, and she knows how to repeat that. She knows what it takes to get there. I know that feeling, too. And when two people who want that feeling so bad meet, it's like a clash," Azarenka said, pounding her fists together.

Helped by nine aces, one at 126 mph, Williams improved to 67-4 with a career-high nine titles in 2013. Since a first-round exit at the 2012 French Open, she is 98-5 with 14 titles, winning four of the past six Grand Slam tournaments.

"Vika's such a great opponent, such a great fighter," Williams said, "and that's why she's been able to win multiple Grand Slams. That's why it was never over until match point."

The Giants open at Dallas

The Giants open at Dallas Sunday. It’ll be the start of Eli Manning’s 10th season in the NFL, which of course seems impossible.

Wasn’t it four or five years ago, not nearly a decade, that Manning was standing there on the draft stage in New York, looking like he wanted to be anywhere but there, holding a dark blue No. 1 Chargers jersey, flanked by commissioner Paul Tagliabue and his disapproving parents, Olivia and Archie Manning?

I didn’t know if San Diego was going to pick me or not until about 10 minutes before the actual draft started,’’ Manning said on the eve of the season, at the Giants’ training facility in the shadow of MetLife Stadium.

“I’m fortunate that the trade happened. I’m fortunate that it happened quickly also. I think it was about 30 or 45 minutes. Then I was traded to the Giants.’’

The rest is Super Bowl history, of course. Which brings up this point: Eli Manning doesn’t have the kind of annual pressure on him that most quarterbacks—maybe triply for a Tony Romo, his foe Sunday night in Arlington, Texas—have at this time of year. In the last seven seasons, six quarterbacks have won Super Bowls. Manning is the only man in that time to have won two. So it’s a little foolish to say, Eli Manning has to win this year or else. Or else what? Or else you’ll scream for another quarterback to play for the Giants?

Since the debacle of his rookie year, Manning has started every game New York has played—128 in the regular season, 11 in the postseason. In those eight seasons, Manning has never had a losing season. His numbers, compared to the luminous ones compiled by Drew Brees or Matthew Stafford, are meh. (If you call averaging 3,811 yards per season pedestrian.) He has played some stinkers.

The Pittsburgh and Atlanta losses (23 of 49 combined) last year come to mind. But how many quarterbacks can go into San Francisco and whip the Niners 26-3, which Manning and the Giants did last year? How many can be behind the New England Patriots three straight games at the two-minute warning of the fourth quarter, and lead his team to the winning touchdown drive in the final moments? He did that too. Which is why there are no ultimatums in Eli Manning’s next couple of seasons—at least.

Eminem's awkward moment during Michigan-Norte Dame

Rapper Eminem made a guest appearance during the Michigan-Notre Dame game on Saturday night.

Yes, Marshall Mathers joined Kerk Herbstreit and Brent Musburger in the booth to promote his new music video, Berzerk, because you know, Em’s from Detroit and rap videos go perfect with college football.

It was awkward. Real awkward.

The gloriously weird interview starts with Eminem staring at the screen stone-faced for a good 4 seconds before saying he’s not used to “live TV” because it “freaks him out.” (Insert 8-mile jokes here). Then he asked to have the question repeated.

The questions the guys asked included what it’s like to make a music video and NFL gambling advice. Later Eminem goes on to compliment Musburger and says he’d be on his All-Announcer team. What an honor.

You’re a legend,” Eminem said to Musburger.

You my friend, are the legend,” Musburger replied.

Then it got awkward again.

I’m really uncomfortable right now,” Eminem said.

Meet Bruno Mars , your Super Bowl Star

Fans of pop music are no doubt familiar with baby-faced hit maker Bruno Mars. But if you're a football fan who first heard the singer's name when it was announced that he'd be the Super Bowl's halftime show performer, you probably live on a radio-less planet (not called Mars). But we're not here to judge. Here's a refresher on who the fedora-wearing pop juggernaut is:
Treasure (the song that sounds straight out of the '70s).
When I Was Your Man (melodramatic love ballad, gets us every time).
Locked Out of Heaven (sounds like a Police song; he's actually performed it with Sting).
Gorilla (his newest single about animalistic lovemaking; he has a thing for gorillas).
Grenade (he proves how much he loves you by describing the unnecessary extremes he'd go to for you, like "catch a grenade").
Justthe Way You Are (the Grammy Award-winning single explaining your perfection).
